Description

Spooky Slider isn’t your typical jigsaw puzzle. The game takes those classic sliding tile mechanics—the kind that used to frustrate you as a kid—and gives them a playful Halloween twist. Each level starts with an image, something haunting (but not too scary), split into square tiles that are then shuffled out of order. The goal? Slide the pieces around the grid until everything clicks back together and the spooky scene appears again. It’s actually pretty satisfying when you finally see the full image snap into place. Sometimes the timer adds pressure, sometimes it’s just about relaxing and figuring things out at your own pace. Some puzzles are easier than others—kids can get through the first handful without much trouble—but later on, yeah, things do get trickier. Not only does it suit younger players who love seasonal games, but adults looking for some light brain exercise might enjoy it too. It doesn’t demand hours; you can hop in and finish a puzzle or two in just a few minutes here and there. Well, if you’re after something both familiar and festive without a big learning curve, this one fits that sweet spot.

I gave Spooky Slider a try while waiting for dinner—thought I’d breeze through it because sliding puzzles usually aren’t my thing. The first few levels went by pretty quickly (maybe too quickly?), but after that I found myself pausing more than expected to figure out which piece should move next. The Halloween art is cute rather than scary—nice touch there. To be honest, I wish the puzzles got even trickier toward the end or maybe had slightly larger grids for more challenge. There were moments I wished for an undo button or hint when I got stuck once or twice. Still, there’s something oddly calming about shuffling those tiles around until everything lines up just right.
