Description

It’s interesting how something so simple can still be kind of addictive. In Obby Collect Sweet Cakes, your main goal is right there in the name—scour a cute town to find scattered sweet cakes. There are 122 of them tucked away everywhere you look, from rooftops to alleyways. Sometimes you spot one just out of reach and spend an embarrassing amount of time figuring out the jumps. You move your character across bright, chunky platforms with that familiar Obby style: cartoony visuals, floaty physics. The city feels busy but open enough to make exploration manageable, not stressful. Actually, that’s probably why I found myself unwinding here longer than expected. The pace? No pressure at all. You poke around at your own speed—perfect for casual players or anyone who just wants some light platforming without frustration breathing down their neck. Not everything works flawlessly though; a few camera angles got tricky near corners (that part really matters, really). But for kids or people looking for cheerful collecting challenges, it’s easy to recommend. Feels like you’re on an oddly relaxing hunt where the only real enemy is missing that last stubborn cake.

Editor's View

I thought Obby Collect Sweet Cakes would be another one-and-done sort of platformer. Then I caught myself circling the same rooftop three times because I was convinced there had to be a cake up there—I mean, why else would they put it in such an awkward spot? There’s a bit of charm to wandering through the pastel buildings and bumping into these goofy little surprises. Some cakes are too easy; others almost annoying to reach unless you take a wild jump or two (not always my favorite part). Well, it's definitely not flawless—the camera sometimes glitches when I get stuck behind objects—but honestly? That doesn’t ruin the fun much. If you like slow-paced collect-a-thons or have younger players in mind, this fits nicely. It doesn’t reinvent anything but kept me entertained longer than expected.
