Description

Skibidi Rush is one of those oddball runners that, well, just makes you smirk at first glance. You’re controlling what’s basically a runaway cartoon toilet—skibidi style—zipping along winding paths that have sudden turns and way too many drop-offs. The controls? All about quick taps or mouse clicks; each one swaps the direction as you dart forward at an increasingly frantic pace. It sounds simple but then suddenly your toilet swings toward an edge with no warning and there goes your run. Collecting poop emojis is the point here—really, it’s the whole goal—so if that doesn’t get a little chuckle out of you… Maybe this just isn’t your kind of weird. To be honest, though, the satisfaction of grabbing a long trail of those emojis gets almost addictive after a few tries. The best part is that Skibidi Rush doesn’t drag things out. Rounds are quick, which makes it perfect for a short break or when you want something mindless to clear your head—but it does start to mess with your focus as the speed ramps up. You might find yourself thinking “just one more try” much longer than expected. It’s interesting how games like this hit both kids and adults in different ways; some will be chasing scores for ages, others just here for the silly visuals.

I really wasn’t sure what to expect from Skibidi Rush—controlling a cartoon toilet definitely isn’t on my usual gaming checklist. But after a couple of rounds, I found myself oddly determined to beat my high score. There’s something kind of ridiculous and fun about trying not to accidentally launch your toilet off the path while snatching every poop emoji in sight. But sometimes I felt like the direction changes were just barely too sensitive; half my runs ended because I tapped slightly off rhythm (frustrating). On the other hand, these sudden fails made me laugh at myself more than once. Honestly, for such a strange little game it sucked me in more than I’d admit at first.
