How to Play

Tap or drag a hoop to move it to another stack and complete the level

Description

Hoop Sort Fever gives a familiar puzzle concept a bit of a shuffle. You’re working with stacks of brightly colored hoops—your job is to get all matching colors onto the same pole, which feels simple until it’s not. It’s one of those games where just as you settle into the rhythm, a more complicated arrangement pops up and makes you stop for a second. What’s interesting is how easy it is to pick up but, honestly, not so easy to breeze through every time. Moving hoops from pole to pole is done by tapping or dragging (whichever feels easier in the moment). The only real rule? Same colors must sit together, or you can drop onto an empty slot. If you find yourself totally jammed up—a thing that happens often enough—the game’s pretty forgiving: there’s an undo button if you goofed or just want to try again without starting over. The whole pace leans casual but don’t expect it to be mindless background noise either; some levels sneak up on you with their trickiness. There are also helpers like adding poles or skipping sticky stages if you just want to keep moving along instead of getting stuck. This isn’t something for fans of high-pressure games—well, unless color sorting under mild frustration counts as pressure! But if low-key brain teasers are your thing, especially ones that let you tinker and backtrack at will, Hoop Sort Fever fits right in.

Editor's View

I started Hoop Sort Fever thinking it’d be just another one of those time-filler puzzle apps—and at first, yeah, it felt almost meditative sliding rings around by color. As the levels stack up though (pun kind of intended), there are moments where I had to pause and actually plan moves ahead because suddenly it wasn’t so obvious what went where. I liked having undo and skip options when things got too fiddly—that part really matters, really—but sometimes I leaned on them maybe more than I should’ve rather than pushing through a tough spot. Still, watching the chaos of mismatched hoops turn into perfect color towers is satisfying every time. To be honest, after awhile some arrangements blur together since visually they stay similar level-to-level; would’ve enjoyed more variation now and then. Not perfect for long marathons but nice for filling gaps during the day.
